IRENE DOROTHY PARRY (nee ELLIS) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our grandmother, Dorothy (Dot), who passed away peacefully, at Grace Hospital, May 19, 2018, at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) and only son, John. She is survived by her granddaughters, Rhonda (Dal), Cheryl (Tim), Elisa (Glenn), seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and best friends, Elaine/Larry Forbes and Ken Phillips. Dot was born August 13, 1923 in Cochrane, ON but grew up in Winnipeg, MB. In 1944, she married the love of her life (Bob) and spent many years working at the pharmacy before becoming a mother and full time homemaker in 1950. She was a woman of many talents who loved needlepoint, knitting and baking. Dot was a supportive Army wife and part of the RCMP Veterans Association. She served on multiple committees, organized teas and performed a variety of tasks for her chapter of the Eastern Star. The family wishes to thank Robyn at Comforts of Home Care and the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their loving care. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
