BRYAN DAVIES In Loving Memory of Bryan Davies Peacefully on May 23, 2018, Bryan passed away at the age of 85. Born July 12, 1932, Bryan was born and raised in St. Vital, Manitoba. He was a loving father to his daughter Pennie-Elin, and son, William. Bryan was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Hanna) in 2004 and remarried in 2012 to Anne (Whitwell). He was also predeceased by parents, William and Agnes, brother Bill, and sisters, Evelyn and Bernice. Bryan's passions in life were horses, dogs, kids and the outdoors. As a child, he became an expert horseman, winning multiple trophies in hurdle competitions. Next came competing in canoeing, rowing and curling. Bryan was a past president of St. Vital Curling Club. Bryan was actively involved with children though coaching baseball, soccer and The Norberry Girl's Hockey team. He spent most of his leisure time at the family cottage in the Whiteshell. Many precious memories were made there with family and friends. Bryan was a hard-working man with many talents and skills. This was reflected in his career of service and management with Delta Electric, SafeCo Insurance, Shell (carwash/gas) and then auto-service with his son Wil. Upon retirement, Bryan enjoyed many good times with friends through Windsor golf, Dakota Bowling, McD's Coffee Gang and his cherished childhood friends, "The Kingston Row Gang". Bryan is lovingly remembered by his wife Anne, dog Mia, daughter Pennie (Len), son Wil (Kelly), grandkids, Sidney (Owen), Stephen, and great-grandson Emmett. At Bryan's request, the family will celebrate his life in private. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Manitoba Mutts or the Winnipeg Humane Society. A heartfelt Thank You to the compassionate staff at Meadowood Manor and Poseidon Personal Care Home for the love and care Bryan received in the past year. God bless you all! I spent many hours with Bryan when I lived in Winnipeg. I am a cousin of Pat Davies. He was a true friend to me as well as a "cousin-in-law". We had many good times with lots of laughter. He always called me "Cos". I will always remember his friendship. Rest in Peace - Love to Pennie and William. - Posted by: Maureen Parent (nee Mager) (cousin) on: Jun 02, 2018
