Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Aunty Betty was like my second Mom when I was a kid. Fondest memory is her cream puffs!! Always had them made when she knew we were coming over. Aunt Betty and my Mom, Marlene, were like sisters. Always there for each other. I remember when I was growing up that every Saturday or Sunday (sometimes both days) the two of them would spend an hour or two gabbing on the phone. They grew apart but in the end Aunt Betty wanted Mom with her and they were like they had always been - close and supportive of each other. I will miss Aunty Betty very much - she was a wonderful, out spoken, loving, funny and beautiful person. Rest in peace Aunty Betty. Love you - Posted by: Patti Adams (Cousin) on: Jun 12, 2018

  • I knew Betty while growing up at the Army. Betty was quiet back then and so I didn't know her closely, but she was always a part of those years. I always liked Betty - I think everybody did. I am sorry that she went to glory before we had a chance to reconnect. But I'm glad that she was still an active part of the Army world and culture and most of all, of the worldwide Christian community. Betty, all of my memories of you are lovely memories. It's so good to know that you are now "Safe in the Arms of Jesus, safe on His gentle breast...". - Posted by: Lorelie Jorheim (was then 'Black' (An old friend) on: Jun 05, 2018
