MARY CHRISTINA WEBER On Tuesday, June 5, 2018 Mary Christina Weber (nee Watters) joined her beloved husband Lewis Philip Weber. Loving mother to Lew (Wendy), Carla (Andy), Mark (Lisa) and Todd (Janette), and grandmother to Alex, Andrew, Ben, Katie, Kylie, Holly and Adam. Survived by brother Toss Watters (Betty Ann), and predeceased by her brother Jim Watters (Yvette), and her twin sister Margaret Kingston (Terry). Mary was born in Barnaby River, NB on February 25, 1936 to Everett and Mary Watters. She grew up in Newcastle, NB and completed her education at St. Michael's Academy. Mary was an independent young woman who set out for Toronto, resided at Rosary Hall Sisters of Service and began her career with Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. While in Toronto, Mary met the love of her life, Lewis Weber and the two were married on May 17, 1958. Mom's whole life was dedicated to her family. She gave her children wings and a soft place to land. While Dad served his country, Mom worked fulltime and kept the home fires burning brightly for her family. Unconditional love and service were the hallmarks of her character and her heart. Her warm smile and sage advice over a cup of tea will be sorely missed. According to Mom's wishes, a private service has already been held. The family would like to thank the team at Deer Lodge and Riverview Health Centre who cared for Mary during her final months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Winnipeg's RaYInc (Resource Assistance for Youth) in memory of Mary's life. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • My mother (Everett Watters sister)--Margretta G. Watters Curran--was Mary's aunt & helped raise her for a couple of years when she was born. My brother, Fr. Joseph and I used to travel to New Brunswick every year since I was 18 months old as young boys. The twins (Margaret and Mary) will be greatly missed along with their brother (Jim). We will keep them all in our prayers. - Posted by: Fr. Richard G. Curran (1st cousin ) on: Jul 06, 2018

  • So sad to hear. A wonderful lady. But I do know she is on the wings of an angel. Take care of each other Carla, Todd, Mark. It's hard, but, everyday it gets a wee bit easier. - Posted by: Peggy Dufreane (Friend.) on: Jun 25, 2018

  • Mary was more like a second mother to me than an aunt. I remember fooling all my friends when we were younger. I'd tell them that my mom had dyed her hair and Mary and Margaret sounded identical and looked identical, other than the hair, so everyone believed it. My deepest sympathy goes out to my cousins, three boys and a girl! From my mom's three girls and a boy! I'm sure Marg and Jim and Lewis were waiting anxiously for Mary's arrival! Love to all.
