BENJAMIN SCHULTZ It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend Benjamin (Benji) Schultz, at the age of 87, on Friday, June 1, 2018 at The Salvation Army Golden West Centennial Lodge in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Benji was born on June 26, 1930, to the late Aaron and Ann Schultz. He was predeceased by his son Calvin Schultz, and is survived by his loving wife Audrey, their two children, Donna (Dwight) and Doug (Brenda), grandchildren, Devon (Angie), Dayna (Klay), Joshua and Cara, as well as great-grandchildren, London, Violet, Lillie and Chloe; along with three sisters, Margaret, Helen (Billy), Anne, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. On June 25, 1955 Benji married the love of his life Audrey. He had a wonderful 32 year career at Air Canada Airlines and retired when he was 60 years of age. Benji and Audrey did some travelling, including Europe, Florida, Las Vegas, Hawaii and to the Dominican Republic. He loved his family and was always ready to lend a helping hand. From working with his friend Walton, to helping his kids with their projects, even to performing babysitting duties when needed, Benji was always there. His hobbies included golfing, curling, getting together for coffee with his buddies and taking his morning walk everyday (rain or shine). As per Benji's wishes, a private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden West and Oakview Nursing Homes where Benji had resided for the past 18 months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Benjamin's name to Golden West Centennial Lodge. • Ben I'm so sorry to hear of your passing, I know you have been ill for awhile. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there, but am glad that I got to say goodbye 3 yrs ago when I was in Wpg. You were my brother that I always looked up to, you were always there for us on the farm and in the city. I know you're up in Heaven with mom, dad and all 5 brothers and sister Mary. I was always so happy when you and Audrey came to see us it was a happy time. I may be coming to Wpg. this summer but it won't be the same with no brothers around. Family getting smaller, while your there tell my Frank that I miss him alot and also my son Jim, oh yes I hope you will show them how great you at yodeling. Love you bro, miss you and I pray I'll see you one day when it's my turn. Love sis Anne - Posted by: anne schultz flores (sister in Florida) on: Jun 09, 2018
