Mildred was one of my favorite people, as her hairdresser for several years as well as her family. She loved to get her hair done and was always so appreciative! Mildred loved to talk about her family, her job and her students. She was so entertaining and fun as I listened and worked to beautify her. Mildred's beauty though came from within her love and spark for life and a lesson learned. I am sad for all her family and loved ones that she is no longer visible to them, and wish to encourage them that she has just moved on to a greater joy. May all who knew and loved her receive peace and joy in a life well lived. - Posted by: Janet Widdicombe (Friend client teacher of my children, esepecially Shelly whom she taught for 3 years in a row. ) on: Jun 16, 2018

Mrs. Johnson was the most amazing teacher and woman I had the pleasure of knowing. I was in Grade 3 at Major Pratt when I remember her joining our elementary school. She always had a smile and a cup of coffee! My daughter struggled with school in Grade 1 and 2 with Math. I wasn't sure what I was going to do. And I heard Mildred was tutoring kids in her home. So I called her and of course she remembered me and was tickled that I thought of her. So Pressley has the priveledge of becoming on of Mrs. Johnson's kids. She thrived and loved her time there. She was so excited when things started clicking and she was getting the material. When Mildred entered the hospital I dropped in to see her. She looked tired and as though perhaps it was time to make a new journey. Not long after she passed. Even though I didn't see her often I will miss her. And her laugh. You were so loved Mrs. Johnson. God Bless and Keep You. - Posted by: Carmen Jerome (Former Student ) on: Jun 15, 2018

My sincere sympathy to all her family, including her brothers and sisters. I always remember her with such a warm and welcoming smile, when we would cross paths at Delta and Terrence's. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. - Posted by: Barbara (Brydon) Larkin (Niece of her sister) on: Jun 12, 2018
