My deepest condolences to the Lackey family. I was sad to hear this news. The years pass by so quickly and although Wayne and I had not seen each other in many years, my memories are fresh. We were full of mischief during our adolescent years playing spin-the-bottle, smoking cigarettes, and yes, skipping school just to hang out. Our group also included Greg Purper, Jim English, Tami McGillivray and Darlene Searcy. The early days. Rest in Peace Wayne. - Posted by: Karen Zaretski (Friend) on: Mar 16, 2019

Wayne, we both grew up on Edison Avenue, and although we didn't hang out too much, we did have a habit of bumping into each other, with uncanny frequency. You called me by the nickname you gave me, right 'til the very end:). I'm glad I was able to see you laugh, sing and dance the last time I saw you at Jimmy English's studio. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Peter (Friend) on: Jun 11, 2018

We remember Wayne from Dorothy Lake. We had some interesting times out there. He definitely loved his music. He used to quiz Dylan. There was never a dull moment, we called him "Wayne Fantastic". Our condolences to Dylan and the family. Paul, Cyndi and Matt - Posted by: Cyndi (Lake Friend) on: Jun 10, 2018

My heart is truly broken that we've lost such a good man. He was always a comedian wanting to make people laugh. I will never forget our group bus tour in November of 1981 to see the Rolling Stones in Minneapolis. Wayne was really excited so we got to see him do lots of his Mick Jagger impersonations lol. A cherished memory. I was a great audience for his wacky humor. He was a good friend to the people in his life. Clearly a devoted Dad and extremely proud of his son Dylan. I am so happy to have known Wayne. He will always have a special place in my heart. May he rest peacefully. Hearts and thoughts and prayers for Wayne's family and friends. - Posted by: Kimberly Marino (Friend) on: Jun 09, 2018
