HOA T. (FLOWER) VUONG
Born: Jan 23, 1980
Date of Passing: Jun 14, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHOA T. (FLOWER) VUONG With great shock and broken hearts, family and friends advise of the untimely passing of Flower on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the St. Boniface Hospital, from complications due mainly to pancreatic cancer, diagnosed only on June 2, 2018. Flower was the much loved first born child of Ynhi and Hung Vuong. Born two months prematurely on January 23, 1980 in North Battleford, SK, she was the cherished first grandchild of Chau and Dung Hoang and Xuyen and Khanh Nguyen. Later, she became the precious, older sister to David and Velvet. During her short life, Flower grew up in North Battleford, moved to St Thomas, Ontario, then to Vancouver with her family. She moved on her own to Winnipeg 10 years ago, and became a very loyal friend to Dave King and his mother Carol. In Vancouver, Flower worked for the Red Door Housing, in Winnipeg, she worked for Investors Syndicate, Akman Property Management and was currently with Carlyle Printers Service and Supplies. Flower made many friends over the years from school and through her employment, her participation with Dave at Karaoke (Club 60) and of course, Facebook. She was very active on Social Media, with many food posts, craft and news posts (and stating her opinion at times!). Flower leaves to mourn her passing, her fur-baby, Sadie, her mother, brother and sister in Vancouver, her father and paternal grandfather in Calgary, and her maternal grandmother in Saskatoon, along with uncles, aunts and cousins in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, with extended family in Vietnam. She will be greatly missed by Dave, Carol and the other household dogs that she befriended and treated/spoiled on a regular basis and of course her wonderful friends and co-workers at Carlyle. Temple prayers will be held for Flower at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., followed by viewing and visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Temple prayers and cremation will follow on Thursday morning, June 21. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a pet rescue of your choice, give a dog (or cat) a home, or to a charity of your choice. Although I didn't have the privilege of Flower's friendship for very long, she most definitely had an impact on my life. We worked together. She was incredibly bright, a quick learner and was capable of carrying a massive work load. I will miss her humour most of all - we had a lot of laughs together and our work environment is most certainly missing her personality. Rest in peace dear friend. - Posted by: Leslie Morovek (Friend) on: Jun 21, 2018
