KRISTEN ROCHELLE ULASY February 24, 1980 - June 30, 2018 Surrounded by love in the arms of her sister, and family by her side, it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, Kristen Ulasy at the age of 38. Kristen is survived by her loving parents, Allan and Gayle Ulasy, sister Ashleigh, and her niece Kaitlyn. She is survived by many aunts and uncles, Donna (Rod), Brian (Debbie), Murray (Margo), Gerry (Linda), and Marcella, as well as many cousins. Kristen was a miracle to our family as she was born with a rare condition called Trisomy 18 (Edwards Syndrome) with an extremely low survival rate and shortened life expectancy if any. She has surpassed any expectations and astonished many people in the medical field. Kristen enjoyed life to the fullest, always with a smile on her face, and bringing joy to everyone around her. She graduated from Windsor Park Collegiate, and since her graduation she has been apart of a program called Community Ventures which she absolutely loved and has always looked forward to everyday. There she has made many friends and took part in many activities and productions. Kristen also enjoyed many activities with her family such as travelling, camping, boating, fishing, and swimming, and going to church. Most of all she loved giving hugs to all those around her, and always brought joy and a smile to everyone's day. Since the day she was born she was an incredibly strong girl. By the grace of God, her strength, and love and support of family, her life has been an absolute miracle which has touched many hearts along the way. The celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Springs Church at 725 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Viewing at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Ventures, contact Kim at (204) 946-9418.
