Condolences & Memories (3 entries)
I worked for Glen when he owned the Belair Store. I couldn’t have asked for a better boss. He had his struggles but always put others first and would give you the shirt off his back. When I was 16, he tired of me riding my bike to work everyday after school...I showed up one day to a 1986 Ford Topaz that he had bought for 100 bucks. He had had it repaired into safe condition for me. I remember my jaw dropping and being so excited. I worked my butt off every evening and weekend to pay him back the 1100 it cost to repair. To this day, I still think about my first car. Thank you Glen. You will always be in my thoughts as you have been the last 20 years. RIP my friend. - Posted by: Jennifer Sosiak (Friend) on: Jul 24, 2018
I've known Mike Hlopina (Glenn Hlopina) for around 6 years. I met him through a mutual friend - we hit it off right away. His friends call Long pretty good. Then we became roommates. Unforeseeable events rendered him homeless for about a year. Unfortunately I couldn't help him at the time which saddened me greatly. Mike was quite the character, he helped up crazy people sometimes even leaving himself without to see you smile. His health wasn't the greatest. He struggled with finding me a job. Everything came together for him and I'm so proud of him. He told me Crystal don't worry you're my best friend no matter what I will never leave you - you left me my friend. I will miss you dearly and I know you were right with God you told me so you are so smart you have an answer for everything. I wish for one more day so I could have really told you how much you meant to me and how much I appreciated you, how much I adore your funny face. You will be sadly, greatly missed here. Smile down here once in awhile. I like the fact that you talked way too much because I could just listen a little longer. You're off with the angels of God. - Posted by: Crystal (Best friends forever) on: Jul 15, 2018
A nice friend! Although we never saw one another for years, he was always in my thoughts. Good guy will be missed. All my best to Brian and Wayne and family. Kevin Smith - Posted by: Kevin Smith (Friends ) on: Jul 11, 2018
