DALE FRANK WHITE Dale White passed away peacefully on the morning of July 10, 2018 at the age of 64 years. Left to survive Dale are his wife Debbi; daughters, Marika and Kyra White; his sister Olive (Cyril) Williams as well as his brother Hal White and their families. Dale Frank White was born in Moosomin, Saskatchewan to James Alvin White and Susan Pathenia Hannah White (nee Crossley). He would spend his childhood days riding his bike with friends from one end of Moosomin to the other. He enjoyed checking out his grandfather's garden and couldn't wait each year for the "new potatoes". Dale continued to enjoy new potatoes and as a family we would drive to the market garden to purchase a big bag of new potatoes each year. In 1965, Dale and his family moved to Normandy Drive in Winnipeg. His cousins will remember Dale as a quiet, private individual who loved buying, selling and working on cars. Family and friends will remember him as a loyal and proud family man. In 1972 he met Debbi Pendgracs. He told his Mom, "I didn't find a car, but I found a girl". Their first date, one week later, was to buy a car (a green Vega). Little did Debbi know that buying cars and car rides would always be an important part of their lives. She will always treasure the memories of these car rides. Debbi and Dale were married in August of 1979. Marika was born in May of 1992 and Kyra in December of 1996. He was so proud of "his three girls". As a family, we enjoyed many, many road trips to Fargo, Grand Forks, South Dakota and Minneapolis to mention just a few. Many hours were spent browsing through car lots deciding which car to purchase next. Dale had owned more than 40 cars, each with a little story attached to each of them. Dale spent his entire working career in the trucking industry. He was employed at Arnold Bros. Transport for more than 40 years which demonstrated his loyalty to his job. Most recently he was the Risk and Compliance Manager at Big Freight in Steinbach. A celebration of Dale's life will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Canada Inns Polo Park, 1405 St. Matthews Avenue. As Dale did not appreciate suits and ties, please dress casually. Dale was cared for by the amazing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital during his last week of life and we wish to thank all of them for their respectful and caring ways. • I met Dale when I was a young up and coming driver at the age of 23. Throughout my driving career Dale always treated me with respect, honesty, and a ton of integrity. Dale was passionate about trucking and was always willing to share his wisdom and insights. In the later stages of my career, once I moved from driving to dispatch, planning and on to management, Dale was always there for advice. I personally counted Dale as a mentor and friend during those years and feel honoured to have benefited from his years of experience. There are times in our lives, when people enter our worlds and we are fortunate to be part of their journey. Those of us who were fortunate to be a small part of Dale's journey are better off for playing a small role in his life's journey; we are all better for it. • Our sincere condolences to “Dale’s Precious Three Girls”! I worked for Dale at Arnold Brother’s in the early 1990s and we kept up a strong friendship until his death. He looked like a quiet person, but he enjoyed talking about cars, tools and business ideas as well as “How to purchase goods the smart way”. Time to time we went out for a breakfast talk about work, car, home maintenance and always business ideas. Once I asked Dale when he will buy me a FREE breakfast even once!!! He looked at me and said, “Do you want me to?” and I replied, “Not really.” (I never got my FREE breakfast.) Dale never smiled, laughed or joked, but he kept valuable friendships. I went and visited Dale before he checked into the hospital and spent one morning with him and he still talked about business ideas!!! I will miss his valuable friendship very much. Debbie always said I am a very special friend. Debbie, I will be always there for you if you need me. Love Pat Ahn and Pat’s husband Richard Majewski - Posted by: Pat Ahn (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2018

  • Debbie, Marika, Kyra and extended family. Our deepest condolences to you all on the loss of Dale. I met Dale back in 1982 and began to develop a friendship with him through our work at Arnold Bros. over the years. We had many laughs on the way to and from work during our carpooling days along with Greg and Cam. Although Dale was somewhat quiet in nature, once you got to know him he demonstrated a great sense of humor. He was always such a professional in his thoughts and efforts. Rest in peace, Dale... we will all miss you. Barb & Rick Lucas & family. - Posted by: Rick Lucas (Co-worker & friend) on: Jul 14, 2018

  • Debbie and family, our sincerest condolences to you all. Dale and I started working the same day at Arnold Bros. And continued a friendship from that point on. Dale had a great personality and even though he was quiet, he always brought thoughtful ideas to the conversation. He considered his responses to things going around him and often offered other more thoughtful options to a problem. We will miss him. - Posted by: Ross and Susa Arnold (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2018
