CYNTHIA BRICK (nee DREMAN) Cynthia Brick passed away July 13, 2018 after a short illness. She was born May 26, 1940 to Sam and Zelda Dreman. She was preceded by her granddaughter Sarah, and husband Fred. She is survived by her five children, Marsha, Ira (Susan), Robert (Krista), Lisa and Stuart (Cheryl), seven grandchildren, and her sister Sharon Ganetsky . Her life wasn't easy, but she was never one to let adversity stop her. Cynthia was a successful businesswoman, running Brick's Fine Furniture for 49 years. She was active in the Rotary Club of Manitoba, her Condo Board, and was a member of the Prairie Action Foundation. She also volunteered on several other boards. Although Cynthia was warm and inviting, she was no pushover in life or business. When the future of the store was threatened, Cynthia rose to the challenge and was instrumental in bringing about a fair settlement. The same vigour was evident if anyone in her family was in any distress; she would do anything for her family. Away from public life, Cynthia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a touchstone to her children and grandchildren, and was always happy to give advice or just check in. Her absence is profound and she will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
