KATHLEEN FROESE KLASSEN 1927 - 2018 Peacefully in the early morning of July 17, 2018, with her niece Lynn Boschmann at her side, at the age of 91, Kathleen went to her heavenly home. She was a gracious, kind and generous woman, with a strong faith who loved adventure, variety, music, golfing, teaching, travelling and volunteering. She took a keen interest in young people. Her quest for variety and adventure led her to teach in a one room school house, MCC, Canadian Wheat Board and eventually the Universities Grants Commission. She is predeceased by her beloved husband David (2011); parents, Johann and Sara Bueckert Froese; nine siblings and their spouses and son-in-law Rudy Niessen (2000). She is survived by her sister Helen Warkentin (101); daughters, Roma Niessen and Rhonda Neufeld (Ron); five grandchildren and their spouses; twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family gives heartfelt thanks to the compassionate caring hearts and hands of the Deer Lodge Center 4 West. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
