Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARA MERCREDI (THOMAS) December 23, 1928 - July 23, 2018 Born in Nelson House, MB, resided in Grand Rapids, MB most of her life. Monday evening a remarkable woman journeyed on to the great mystery, to join those that preceded her, her husband Alexander, daughter Elma-Marie Berthelette, granddaughter Olivia Charmaine, mother and father, William and Susanna, brother and sister, Duncan and Agnes, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Mourning her new journey are sons, Joe (Nancy), Duncan (Freida), Jack (Darlene) and daughters, Adele (Bruce), Susie, Lisa and Geraldine (Jerry), sisters, Esther and Delhia, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Many heartfelt thanks to the staff of George M. Guimond Care Centre and Pine Falls Health Complex for the wonderful care they gave to our mom. In lieu of flowers donations to the George M. Guimond Care Centre would be much appreciated. Wake to held in Grand Rapids on Sunday, July 29, 2018 service and feast to be held July 30, 2018. Cremation to follow. Funeral arrangements by Spirit Road Funeral Services, Sagkeeng / Fort Alexander, MB.

My thoughts are with Clara's family. She and Alex had a wonderful family and her legacy of charity and intelligence will live on in them. I think she was the last Elder of her generation to go, how sad to have to say goodbye. I wish I could be in Grand Rapids for the services, it would be nice to see Esther and Delia and their families, tender thoughts and hugs to all.
