DOROTHEE PARENT (nee VERMETTE) December 4, 1919 - August 1, 2018 Our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother peacefully passed away at Foyer Valade Action Marguerite on August 1, 2018. She leaves to mourn in her memory her nine children: Eloise, Rachel (Joe), Gilles (Sharon), Rose-Aimée (Adonias), France, Colette (Maurice), Richard (Louise), Bernice and Aurèle (Lucette); her 16 grandchildren: Arlette (Stavros), Sean (Jodi), Coleen, Jacques (Allison), Marc, Stéphane, Silvain, Chantal (Randy), Patrick (Connie), Michel (Tammy), Danielle, Amanda, Karine (Jonny), David (Renée), Mélanie (Chris), Monica (Dylan); 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and a sister-in-law Thérèse Vermette. She was predeceased by her husband Michel Parent (1989), her parents, Ada Clément (1985) and Polydore Vermette (1982), her parents in-law, Anna Lacharité and Joseph Parent, her son-in-law Victor Perrin (2016), her brothers, Arcade (2008) and Georges (2008), and her sisters, Lilliane (2009) and Laurette (2016). Dorothée was a devoted, patient and loving woman. Her children and grandchildren always had time to spend with her, enjoy her pancakes and laugh often together. She loved her garden and flowers. Dorothée also sewed a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. Our family wishes to express gratitude to the long term care home staff at Foyer Valade Action Marguerite for the care offered to our mother. The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Maurice Roman Catholic Church, 253 Main St. South, Morris, Manitoba followed by the interment and a reception held at the Emanuel Baptist Church Hall, 162 Railroad Avenue.
