VICTORIA HOPE ROSS It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Victoria Hope Ross on August 12, 2018, at the age of 57 years. Vicki leaves to mourn her passing sisters, Beverley Ross and Mary Delorme; brothers-in-law, Mark Stratton and Richard Delorme; nieces and nephews, Madeline, Hannah, Gavin, Fergus and Claire, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Vicki grew up in Winnipeg in the neighbourhood of Fort Richmond and graduated from FRC in 1979. She went on to the University of Winnipeg where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Vicki spent most of her working life with the Court Services of the Manitoba Government, retiring in 2017. Vicki lived her entire life in Winnipeg but loved to travel, especially on cruises with friends and family. She had many hobbies including gardening, cooking and sewing, but particularly loved her Folk Art painting, for which she was very gifted. She was also a great lover of animals, adopting many cats throughout her life. Vicki was deeply loved; will be deeply missed; and she will be always remembered. Memorial service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Knox United Church, 400 Edmonton St., Winnipeg. Bardal Funeral Home 204-774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I always knew Vicki as a gentle, compassionate soul. She provided support to all of us at ACWP. We loved when she would attend training sessions. One especially treacherous experience was driving home from The Pas in a fall freezing rain storm. Nobody was happy- Vicki just kept her cool and by doing so was able to bring down the tension of the trip. Prayers of peace as dear Vicki journeys to the other side camp. - Posted by: Sandra DeLaronde (Colleague ) on: Aug 18, 2018

  • Vicky was a co-worker of mine for many years and well thought of. I also had the benefit of the of being gifted perennials from Vicky’s garden. We shared a love of crafting and I enjoyed the stories of her travels. Vicky will be missed and I know that she enjoyed her retirement - Posted by: Shauna Curtin (Co worker) on: Aug 17, 2018

  • Vicki touched the lives of so many with her bright smile, contagious laugh and kind and generous personality. I got to know her over the last 15 years through our mutual friend Buffy. Vicki loved the annual Christmas "sisters parties", especially the gift exchange and the potluck that we did. Always showing special interest in everyone's lives just demonstrates how caring and kind she was. Vicki's loved her babies - each and every kitty that she adopted and gave them a home that provided each of them with a life of luxury and comfort. Vicki and I were supposed to have lunch this past Monday - "Dim Sum" at one of her favorite spots, which we both always looked forward to. Our journey through this life is never guaranteed as to time, but it's always to early when we loose someone. You will be missed my friend. You and Buffy can paint the stars in Heaven now. May wonderful memories and love surround your family to help them get through this very difficult time. - Posted by: Sylvia Farley (Friend) on: Aug 16, 2018
