AUDREY DOREEN EDWARDS October 4, 1924 - August 7, 2018 On August 7, 2018 at Concordia Hospital our cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Audrey Doreen Edwards peacefully passed away, at the age of 94. Our dear Audrey is now reunited with her husband Percy Thomas Edwards. Audrey passed on strength and willpower to a family that always cherished, daughters, Pat (Bob) Klymchuk and Bev (Jack) Reidiger; grandchildren, Ken (Shannon), Kathy (Joel), Kevin (Bonnie), Jenna (Paul), Erin, and Michael (Rebecca); great-grandchildren, Emma and Maggie; her brothers, Clarence, and Ray. Audrey was a brilliant baker and cook. Often times she could be seen making amazing blueberry crisp, delicious banana bread, and delightful chocolate chip cookies. Her Sunday roasts were the best around. Like her husband Percy, Audrey enjoyed searching for and collecting antiques such as Royal Doulton Toby Jugs, and egg cups. She loved her beautiful backyard garden, especially her Morden Roses, and also got great joy in growing and eating tomatoes from the garden. She enjoyed the time she spent at the United Church and Park Manon visiting friends. She was very appreciative and often at a loss for words to express how thankful she was to all the friends and family who went out of their way to ensure she got the care she needed. Cremation has taken place and the service will be held at the Transcona Memorial United Church at 10:00 a.m. on August 22, 2018. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Transcona Memorial United Church.
