EWALD (ED) KRAUS August 2, 1938 - September 9, 2018 Ed passed away at the Selkirk Hospital on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the age of 80. Ed will be missed by his loving wife, Pat; children, Ricky (Pam), Karen (Dennis) and Michele (Al); stepchildren, Scott (Marie), Blair, Ron (Wendy), Jim (Sandra) and Ken (Dan); 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ed was born in Attamacha, Romania and immigrated to Canada in 1951, where he settled in River Hills, MB. He moved to Winnipeg in 1955 where he worked at several jobs, including the upholstery trade. He later moved to Lockport to start his own business in 1973. Ed retired to his cottage in Lac du Bonnet in 2002 and became active in his church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, music and dancing. He will be missed by family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour, with interment to follow in Riverland Cemetery. Donations in Ed's memory may be made to Lutheran Church of the Cross in Lac du Bonnet. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day.
