How fortunate I was to work with Debbie and after her retirement to stay as friends. Myself and my partner were invited several years ago and got to meet her husband and family members and their friends. I do remember every aspect of her and their hospitality and the enjoyment we shared. It was just wonder then and left wonderful memories. We will remember her wonderful smile, her generosity and kindness and her caring for her clients. We will greatly miss Debbie and wish the family peace and comfort. - Posted by: Dan Park (Co-worker and friend) on: Sep 24, 2018

Was shocked and saddened by the news of Debbie's passing. Sincerest condolences to Degale, Billie Jo, Lisa and Chris and to her brothers and sisters. I've known this family for over 40 years - too many tales to convey. But good times and many, many laughs. You will be deeply missed. - Posted by: Debbie Thompson (Friend) on: Sep 24, 2018

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Deb. She was a funny and amazing person who despite her sometimes gruff exterior had a true heart of gold. Ms. Deb made a difference in the lives of so many children though her work. I have nothing but fond memories of the time I spent with her. See you on the other side Ms. Deb! - Posted by: Josh Krongold (Co-worker) on: Sep 24, 2018

I got to know Debbie through poker, at first we called her Doreen and she wouldn’t correct us, then I heard someone calling her “sweet talking Debbie”, so I asked her what her name was, it was just recently I found out they called her sweet talking Debbie lol, but I will miss seeing her and smoking with her at every break, it came as quite a shock this past Thursday when I went to play poker and found out she had passed. Rest in peace my friend - Posted by: Roberta and Sheldon (Poker friends ) on: Sep 24, 2018

Debbie was my first friend I made playing poker at the Regent Casino. She was an outgoing, funny, and a tough poker player. She wasn’t scared to go head to head with other poker players, especially the guys. I will miss her smile and wise cracking ways. She will be missed in the poker community! - Posted by: Elaine Sutherland (Poker friend) on: Sep 22, 2018
