Condolences & Memories (16 entries)

  • I lived across the back lane from Doris on Ash Street and she told me that if I brought her the apples from my apple tree, she would bake me an apple pie. We did that every year for many years. She and Bertie were a wonderful couple and yes I bought my house through her. Fond memories. - Posted by: Andrew Hildebrand (Neighbour) on: Dec 28, 2020

I will always remember sailing with Doris on Jeremy's 50 B-Day boat. She was a powerful lady - without leaving Winnipeg she help me to sell my apartment in Montreal. • My deepest condolences. Doris was such a feisty lady still working and selling houses in her later years. I was always in awe that she was still working! I would assist her at times with open houses. She would bring her beloved Berdie to the open house and I would sit with them and they would tell me stories of their lives. They were so full of knowledge and such an adorable couple. I will remember her fondly. Rest in Paradise Doris xo Tammy Gauthier - Posted by: Tammy Gauthier (Friend and co-worker) on: Sep 24, 2018

  • I was saddened to read of the passing of your dear mother and grandmother. I knew Doris since childhood when she belonged to Habonim and later through Real Estate. She was always a bubbling, vivacious personality and I always admired her. May her memory be for a blessing. • I'm very sad to read of Doris' death. She always made me laugh, gave me good advice and inspired me to keep going in real estate. She's the one person who convinced me that we didn't have to retire at 65. When I reach that point and am still happily working in this industry I'll remember her fondly. - Posted by: Gunny Tennede (Friend coworker) on: Sep 22, 2018
