• I lived across the back lane from Doris on Ash Street and she told me that if I brought her the apples from my apple tree, she would bake me an apple pie. We did that every year for many years. • Jeremy just informed me of his mother's death. Doris and Bertie were life long dear, dear friends of my parents in Winnipeg and mine as well. Really incredible friends and wonderful, compassionate people who were always there for my mother and me , even in sad, difficult times. • My deepest condolences. Doris was such a feisty lady still working and selling houses in her later years. I was always in awe that she was still working! I would assist her at times with open houses. She would bring her beloved Berdie to the open house and I would sit with them and they would tell me stories of their lives. • I'm very sad to read of Doris' death. She always made me laugh, gave me good advice and inspired me to keep going in real estate. She's the one person who convinced me that we didn't have to retire at 65.
