ISABELLE MARY FOSTER 1933 - 2018 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Isabelle Mary Foster. Mom passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, one month to the day of her 85th birthday. Isabelle was predeceased by her son, Craig, in 1996 and her husband, Ray, in 2005. Born in the town of Neepawa, Manitoba, Mom lived in the surrounding area until moving to Winnipeg in her 20's. It was soon she met Ray and married. Ray and Isabelle had three boys, Dale (Val), Blaire and Craig. Ray and Isabelle had three grandchildren, Matthew, Scott and Gillian. She was so very proud of them and spent many hours enjoying their company. Mom worked in many different careers including being a representative for Kayser-Roth in the Bay and Eaton's, to working with the school board, and Mom also was an administrator in the insurance business. When Dad and Mom retired, they travelled to many places in the world and enjoyed their adventures very much. Throughout Mom's life, she met and became close friends with many. She loved to golf, curl and interact with so many people. She was very involved with many charities and events at her church, Windsor Park United Church. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends alike. We send our thanks to the staff on the 6th floor west of the Deer Lodge Centre for the care and friendship given to our mother. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family service to remember Mom's life. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to War Amps, 2827 Riverside Dr., Ottawa, ON K1V 0C4, in her memory. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Isabelle was a lovely lady. I first met her when I was fresh out of high school, in 1985. My very first job as a 'secretary' was at Pioneer Life Insurance on Garry Street, where I worked with Isabelle (and Laurel). I only worked there for one year, but Isabelle was so patient and nice to me, I will never forget her. - Posted by: Bev Robinson (former co-worker) on: Oct 03, 2018

  • Isabelle was my dearest friend, the sister of my heart. I have missed her since moving away and wish I could have been with her thru her illness. I have so many wonderful memories of our times together and will remember Issy everyday. My sincerest condolences to Dale and Val, Blaire, Matthew, Scott and Gillian and my thanks to sister-in-law Lynn for keeping me informed when Isabelle wasn’t able. My love to you all - Posted by: Darlene Martel (Friend) on: Sep 29, 2018
