SHIRLEY MULVEY With great sadness, we announce the passing of our Mom, Shirley Mulvey, into a different realm on Thursday, October 4, 2018, in her 84th year. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Stan, and was a devoted mom to Don (Mary Ellen), Debra (Trevor) and Dennis (Karen). She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Michael (Monica), Nancy (Mike), Ian (Jessica), Kyle (Jasmine), a growing gaggle of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends. Mom was born in Winnipeg, raised her three children there, moving to Montreal in 1970, when Stan was transferred with Air Canada. On his retirement they relocated to Burlington, ON, were active with the Newcomers and quickly cultivated many new friendships. She taught piano in Winnipeg, played piano in church (and sang in the choir) in Montreal, QC and in Burlington, ON, became an avid bridge player. She no doubt has organized and joined a bridge table already. A few winters in Florida didn't do much to improve her golf game. She was truly happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Respecting her wishes, there will be a private cremation and interment. A memorial reception will be held on Thursday, October 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME-BURLINGTON CHAPEL (2241 New Street at Drury Lane, Burlington, ON, 905-637-5233). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society Canada or the MS Society Canada, would be appreciated by the family. On-line condolences can be expressed at www.dbburlington.ca.

I was so sorry to read of your mom's passing. I treasure the memories I have of Len's and my visits with your Mom and Dad. They were wonderful hosts and we had such good times together whether we were visiting them or they were here. I enjoyed my phone visits with your Mom and will truly miss them. She was a great lady and I am finding it hard to believe that she is gone. My sympathies to you all. Shirley Jahns Mulvey - Posted by: Shirley Jahns Mulvey (Sister-in-law) on: Oct 10, 2018
