BETTY JEAN D'ARGIS (REDHEAD)
Born: Aug 02, 1949
Date of Passing: Oct 03, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY JEAN D'ARGIS (nee REDHEAD) August 2, 1949 - October 3, 2018 Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Winnipeg. Dearly loved wife of Rodney for 47 years. She also leaves behind her children, Brent (Jen) and Michelle (Al). She was a very proud and loving grandmother to Coleman, Sadie and Challen. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Mary Romaniuk, in-laws, Sharon and Tom McBurney and Dolores and Moe Romaniuk, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews and their families. Betty loved children and the many years she spent working with them as an Educational Assistant, going above and beyond. She was always there for her friends and family with an open heart and a willing hand. She was family first, a great friend, a wonderful grandma, Nurse Betty, sister confidant, fun travelling companion and life saver. She loved travelling and gathering her family together, whether at home or Falcon Lake, to share her delicious meals. Although vertically challenged, people quickly learned to keep on her good side. As much as her family meant to her, her foundation was Rod. They always took care of one another and had a marriage to aspire to. True partners in life and love. Her lifelong nemesis was diabetes. As much as she hated it, it made her stronger and she didn't let it define her. It motivated her to live life to the fullest. Cremation has taken place and a private family service is to be held. Donations in Betty's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to: Interlake Cremation & Memorial Services

I was shocked when I heard of Betty’s passing. I’m sorry for your loss. I met Betty when I was 12 she worked with my mom at river bend school. Amazing lady my mom talked very highly of Betty. As a adult I reconnected to Betty after marrying her sons friend. We enjoyed our visit with Rod and Betty in Texas. Kindness over the years. She will be missed. - Posted by: Debby Kuzminski (Moms colleague, married to friend of family) on: Oct 15, 2018

My heartfelt condolences to you Rod, and to all of your family. Although I didn’t know any of you personally, Betty was a dear friend to my mom Donna Bell. She cherished her friendship and the breakfasts and lunches out, the time spent out at the lake with you guys, and most recently their trip out to Shooting Star casino. Betty will be greatly missed. 💝 - Posted by: Pam Farkas (Friend ) on: Oct 13, 2018
