ANNE GRABOWSKY (nee PRONISHEN) November 7, 1916 - October 7, 2018 It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Anne Grabowsky. Mom passed away on Sunday, October 7, at River East Personal Care Home with her daughter by her side. She is survived by her daughter Donna and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Makar and Mary; sisters, Marie and Sophie; son-in-law Al, and beloved husband Frank. Mom was born and raised in Narol, MB. She worked for Swift Canadian and Laura Secord. Upon retirement she took up oil painting and enjoyed travelling with Dad. Frequent trips to Las Vegas were favorites. In recent years the Las Vegas trips were replaced by visits to local casinos. Mom was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church where she was a choir member. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining and for years hosted choir practice. Her Christmas Eve dinners and perogies will be fondly remembered by many. Mom often commented that she'd had a great life and hoped she would be remembered with smiles, not tears. My heartfelt thanks to all who took time to visit her. She truly enjoyed your company. Thank you to staff at the Misericordia Interim Care Home and River East Personal Care Home for the care provided to my Mom. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2018 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Private interment will take place at a later date. • Donna, I am so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She always made me smile with her honest opinions and her stubborn manners. You were a great daughter and I know how much you will miss her. Treasure your memories. Monique . - Posted by: Monique (Friend) on: Oct 13, 2018
