Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCYNTHIA GUIMOND 1966 - 2018 It is with peace in God that we announce the passing of our beloved Cindy Guimond, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the wife of Claude Guimond, mother of Farrel Guimond (Peggy), Emery Guimond, Shaylene Guimond and Shezna Guimond. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Treasure, Starla, Luna, Donte, Shay, Isabell, Libby and Shenzah; grandchildren who she loved so dearly. She is also the beloved sister of Todd Courchene (Tamara) and Mark Courchene (Carolyn). Although we feel the grief and mourning for her, we know she is with God in heaven and will always be with us in our memory and our hearts. Wake service will be Friday, October 12 to Sunday, October 14 at the residence of Todd Courchene, North Shore Road, Fort Alexander. Funeral mass will be Monday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m., at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Sagkeeng First Nation, with Father Augustine officiating. I met Cindy when we both went to University, we graduated together. We had so much in common. She and I became very close friends. My greatest regret is how we lost touch over the years. I know how much she loved her family, they were her life. I will cherish the memories of the days spent with her. I will remember her unique laughter and how she always had a smile on her beautiful face. Cindy had a very kind, loving spirit and I know she will be missed by everyone who knew her. My sincerest condolences to Claude, her children, grandchildren and to Lena and Pashoo.
