MARGARET (COBBY) COBB (WILSON) It is with great sorrow the family announces the passing of Margaret Cobb (Wilson) on October 10, 2018, at Heritage Lodge. Predeceased by her parents, husband Mervyn; brothers, Ron and Rex, brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Violet Smith, and Grenville and Molly Cobb. Margaret is survived by her sister Elsie Johnson, in England; her three children, Felicity, Trevor and Sylvia; grandchildren, Jason, Nigel, Scotia-Lee and Robert; great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ivor and Anita Cobb, as well as many nieces, nephews; and special daughter Lonie Tuck. Margaret was born in 1927, in Portsmouth, England. Married the love of her life, Mervyn, and immigrated to Canada with their family in 1956, settling in Winnipeg. Margaret worked in healthcare most of her life at St. Boniface San (St. Amant) and Mount Carmel Clinic and retired happily to the lake. Mum had an active life with many friends playing darts, bowling, doing puzzles, knitting, reading books, camping, casino trips and especially family vacations. Her love of sports had her cheering for the Bombers. Gardening was a favourite pastime in the summer. Margaret \ Mum \ Nana \ Grandma will always be in our hearts, never forgotten and forever missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. As per Margaret's wishes, cremation will follow.
