Jenny was born on November 15, 1923 in the Netherlands and lived a long, productive life. Jenny met her husband, Bill, a Canadian soldier, in 1945. They were married on January 2, 1946 in Holland. Soon Jenny followed her new husband to Canada arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax, then travelling by train to Winnipeg. Jenny's adaptation to farm life gave Bill many moments of surprise and admiration. Jenny's life in Canada saw her very involved in St. Helen's Anglican Church, Bingo, bowling, the Senior's club, and War Brides. Jenny was a very social lady and made many friends through the years. Some of Jenny's fondest memories were the visits to Canada by her parents, sisters and brother-in-law, especially Janny's many visits. Jenny was predeceased by her parents, her three brothers and two sisters, all in Holland, her beloved husband Bill, daughter-in-law Dalene, infant grandchildren, Colleen and Patrick, infant great-grandson Patrick, and many dear friends. Jenny is survived by her children, Jock (Kathy), Doug (Judy) and Barbara (Gerald), grandchildren, Aaron (Robin), Dana (Brent), Stacy (Lance) and Joel, also great-grandchildren, Jordyn (Dalton), Cole (Katrina), Dawson and Channing, along with extended family in Holland. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service and interment of ashes is being planned for the Spring of 2019. The family is very grateful to Dr. Gudmundson and the staff at Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home for their wonderful care of Jenny. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Helen's Anglican Church, Fairford, MB c/o Cathie Clow, General Delivery, Hilbre, MB R0C 1L0 would be appreciated. • Our Jenny was a faithful parishioner at St Helen's Anglican Church in Fairford. She could be counted on to always provide the attendance number, process the financial offerings and other treasurer work. It was also her honor to ring the Sanctus bells during the prayers for Holy Communion. On behalf of the St. Helen's Congregation: Our condolences to Barb, Doug, Jock and families in the loss of their dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother. May her soul rest in peace. - Posted by: Cathie Clow (Church friend) on: Oct 20, 2018
