Predeceased by his wife, Anita Catherine on May 1, 2014 and son Ronald Malcolm on March 20, 2014. Survived by his brother Arthur (Art) John Movold of Vernon, BC, and his children: Cindy Macdonald (husband Steve and children Anna and David) of North Vancouver; Michele Campbell (husband Larry and children Krystal and Kevin) of Chetwynd, BC; Craig (wife Diana) of Ladner, BC; Mark (wife Margaret and children Hannah, Liam and Luke) of Chetwynd, BC, and daughter-in-law Minda Movold (children Anthony and Rachel) of Coquitlam, BC. Bert was born on September 24, 1926 in Blackpool, BC, his childhood years were also in Bralorne, BC and North Vancouver, BC, graduating from high school in 1945. While working in Whitehorse, NWT, he met the love of his life, Anita; they married on December 26, 1956 in Tompkins, Saskatchewan, moving to Texada in 1957, where they began their family of five children. In 1977, they moved to Chetwynd and finally in 1986 they moved back to the lower mainland to Vancouver and ultimately to Nanaimo to live out their retirement, enjoying their children and grandchildren at their home on Planta Road and the retirement home on Ross Road. In the fall of 2014, Bert moved to North Vancouver, then Ladner in January 2015, where he enjoyed his surroundings of the small village, farms and the beautiful sunsets that reminded him of his wonderful years with his family on Texada Island.
