DINA RONDEAU (née LAMOUREUX) July 18, 1928 - October 28, 2018 Dina went to be with her Lord and Saviour on October 28, 2018. Her devotion to her family and her strong faith in God supported her through her struggle with cancer. She is predeceased by her husband Hector (Rocky) Rondeau in 1996; her second husband Paul Lajeunesse in 2003 and her infant daughter Theresa. Dina leaves behind her daughters, Carol Kapchinsky (Rubby) and Adele Nicolson (John); son David Rondeau (Huguette), sister Patricia Elliott (Don); grandchildren, Daniel, Kelsey and Brandon (Amy), Simone (Jason) and Chantelle (Darnell); as well as great-grandchildren, Jaelen, Nina and Kingsley. Dina resided in Winnipeg and enjoyed a long career with WCB. After her retirement she began to enjoy life's simple pleasures. Whether it was spending time with family and friends or travelling to Arizona as well as many other destinations, Dina was always ready for the next adventure. Her many years spent at the cottage were some of her happiest times. She loved nature, gardening. She was an avid reader and was never without a good book. Shopping, crosswords and card-making were some of her favourites. Dina had a real zest for life. She was an incredible woman with a keen intellect and a deep curiosity for all things. She was knowledgeable in so many subjects and had the best sense of humour. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Jocelyn House for the care and compassion shown to Dina. They went above and beyond to make her stay there as pleasant as possible. You are extraordinary people and we thank God for all you did for Dina. A very special thanks to Debbie who was always there to help and spend time with her. There will be a funeral mass for Dina at St. Emile Church at 556 St. Anne's Road, Winnipeg, MB on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a private family interment at a later date. Family and friends are invited to St. Emile's hall for a time of fellowship and lunch. No flowers please. Donations to Jocelyn House will be gratefully accepted. We love you Mom, always and forever. Dina was one of my first Canadian friends in June of 1967. Newly emigrated from England to Winnipeg, Dave and Rocky worked together in the Tool and Die department at Bristol Aerospace. We were invited round to their home and our friendship began. Dina and I shared many interests over the years and thanks to the computer, we kept in touch when Dave and I retired to the Island. When she sent me her handmade cards, I felt very special. She was so talented. I am Blessed to have had her friendship. She will be sadly missed. Sincere Sympathy from Stella, Hazel and Dwayne. - Posted by: Stella Meredith (Friend) on: Nov 04, 2018

Dina was an amazing and extremely intelligent lady, who took the time to take me under her wing when I first started working in my first job, at WCB. She was kind, constantly and enduringly humourous and loved to joke around. I know she will be missed by everyone who knew her. - Posted by: Bob Roddy (Friend and fellow worker @ WCB) on: Nov 01, 2018
