Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS MAE BENSON (nee SMITH) December 2, 1936 - October 29, 2018 Gladys passed away peacefully, at home, at the age of 81. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Ted Benson. Loving mother of Valerie (Jim Steele) of Brampton and Kathleen of Collingwood. Dear grandmother of Kyle (Kristin), Carly and Jason Rindinella and Steven and Kristen McIntyre. She is survived by her siblings in Winnipeg, Howard (Gwen) Smith, Sadie Owen, Violet Buzan, Morris (Diane) Smith and Walter (Joan) Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Jean Smith, and brother Wilfred Smith all of Winnipeg. Gladys was an active member of the Brampton Seniors Centre and Probus. She enjoyed spending time gardening and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 at North Bramalea United Church, 363 Howden Blvd., Brampton. Our Condolences to the family of Aunt Gladys, her Daughters and all the rest of those out there. We were fortunate to see all of you when Sue and I visited Niagra falls two years ago.
