Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Dear Ralph & Anita. I don’t know where to begin to describe the affection I had for your Mom. To me she will always remain Tante Margaret. She treated me like a nephew and close relation, even though we weren’t related. And I will always keep that close to my heart. Your Mom and Dad ( Onkel Roland) gave us a second family ,and we always looked forward to the house parties or bbq’s at the Schmidtke’s. And later in life she took on the same role for our kids Konrad & Katarina by greeting them with the same hug and kiss she greeted me with. All I know is that on a personal level I will miss her dearly. We can’t imagine what both or you and the family are going through right now. But know that we are thinking of all of you at this time of sorrow and grief. - Posted by: Robert, Carrie,Konrad & Katarina Schaepe (Friend) on: Nov 08, 2018

  • Anita and Ralph and family, so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She always took the time to chat with a big smile and a hug! She will be missed. Peace be with you. - Posted by: Caroline Jacobs (Schmidtke) (Cousin) on: Nov 08, 2018

  • We enjoyed both your parents as wonderful neighbours. Margaret will be remembered by us for her ready laugh, her graciousness, and her love of life. - Posted by: Norma & Ted Steven (Neighbour) on: Nov 08, 2018

  • Our deepest sympathies to the family on the loss of your Mom and Oma. We will always hold dear our memories of Oma, the fun and laughter we shared, the New Year's Eve parties, the backyard impromptu parties, the many dinners and games when Oma was visiting in Calgary. We will miss her. Our love and prayers are with you all. - Posted by: Sharlene and Michael Bauer (Friends) on: Nov 08, 2018

  • Anita, Ralph and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of your mom, she always greeted me with a warm hug and a big smile, her eyes always bright and full of life. We will all miss her warm affection and charm, such a great lady. Hugs to you and all of you family. Sadly I will be out of town for the funeral but will be thinking of you all.
