Condolences & Memories (35 entries)

  • Glen and I co coached our daughters Cheyenne and Jordy many years ago in ringette. Glen had a spark in his eye and saw the same in my daughter and he was a Dad to all the girls. He will be remembered for his laugh and his guidance and few people can touch a life in such a way in such a short time. Hearts and prayers to you girls and all the support friends can being Jody - Posted by: Jody Berry (Friend and Coach ) on: Jun 21, 2019

Always quick with a hello and a smile. I’m truly saddened of his passing. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Paulette Giesbrecht (Friend) on: Nov 22, 2018

  • Robin and family....I am so very saddened to hear of your loss and passing of Glenn. The community of Lac Du Bonnet is a very tight knit group of friends of which Glenn was a huge and wonderful part of. It seems like only yesterday when you and Glenn with your 2 beautiful daughters moved into our neighborhood! Glenn will be missed dearly and remembered fondly. He had a smile for everyone !! • I was shocked to hear that Glenn had passed. He was one of those guys in the workplace that made the days go better. He always had a smile, loved to laugh, and helped me to the best of his ability which was considerable, with any problem I had. I did not discuss family with him but from my family to his our sincere condolences. Glenn and I were like minded and was extremely easy to get along with. The world needs more people like him. You can tell by the amount of comments here what kind of person he was. He will be missed. - Posted by: Mike Crerar (Coworker at Toromont Cat) on: Nov 21, 2018

  • Glen was a funny guy at work. Fooled around a bit. Had us smiling. Was a friendly guy to work with. Sorry to hear about Glen. So sad. - Posted by: Brian kashuba (Work friend, played hockey a bit.) on: Nov 21, 2018

  • I had met Glenn a few years back while he was doing his thing to our Gen sets. Through our interactions I found out that we hung out with common friends in our teen years but never met, I would guess to say we saw these friends on alternate days. He had a love of music, a quick wit and always had time for you and your concerns. I have learned that we go through life meeting people as we do our thing and sometimes we encounter that kindred soul one would say that stands out amongst the rest. Always looked forward to his visits and to his insight, I will miss him. - Posted by: Michael O'Flaherty (Work asscoiate/friend) on: Nov 20, 2018

  • Don't know what to say that hasn't been said, but I'll try. I'm crying, we're all crying, but also there is laughter, because of all the wonderful memories you've given us. For me, a lot of them were out in Redditt, mini bikes, fishing, swimming, mud holes, and waiting to see how long it would take before some kind of mischief would happen (usually not long). You gave us all such great memories that will never be forgotten. I give all my love and many hugs and kisses to the whole family. Glenn, I feel so blessed and proud that you were in my life. Love you forever Coz-in! - Posted by: Lisa Audziss and family (Cousin) on: Nov 20, 2018

  • I'm very sad to have learned of Glenn's passing. He was a life long friend and good buddy! The best times were having Mrs Davis' baked beans on a Sunday evening and laughing with the family. • I was taken aback when I heard from Toromont of Glenn's sudden passing. He was both great to work with and a skilled mechanic. Will miss him. • We are so sorry for your loss. We have such great memories of Glenn. Having camped at Netley we met Glenn and his family. Glenn always greeted us with his great smile and his hardy laugh. Every summer weekend it was Glenn's goal to try to throw the two Justins off the tube as he pulled them behind his boat. The two Justin's always looked up to Glenn and loved joking with him. Jon always said if there was going to be trouble, he wanted Glenn on his side. Glenn was a great person and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Robin, Shawnee, Cheyene and family. - Posted by: Judy and Jon Dack (Friends) on: Nov 19, 2018

  • I was totally shocked when I heard the news of Glenn's passing. I just couldn't think of anything else, but got comfort in thinking of some of the fun times during our 12 years or so at work and when I would run into Glenn a few times a year at job sites, community centres and different places after I left Powell. Glenn always offered a handshake and his Montana wide smile. We always enjoyed a few laughs and caught up like it was yesterday since we last spoke. Pat and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Robin and all of Glenn's family. Rest in Peace Bud!! - Posted by: Murray & Pat Wedlake (Former co-worker @ Powell/Toromont Cat) on: Nov 19, 2018

  • My deepest sympathies to all of Glenn's family. I worked with Glenn for many years and always got along great with him as it seems most everyone did. I hadn't seen him in probably 10 years or more but definitely have good memories. Even though this is almost impossible to believe or understand, hopefully we can all get a small bit of comfort in the hope that he's at peace. - Posted by: Randy Pentlichuk (former co-worker) on: Nov 17, 2018

  • I will never forget our great times we spent at Netley Creek in the summer time during high school in the winter we would ski doo out of your mom and dad's garage right into the open field never getting caught. We did get caught riding horses in that farmers field, I’ll never forget you told me ride this one it’s trained so I believed you and jumped on. I was bucked off faster than you guys could run to get away. The best of times was spending Christmas Eve singing Johnny Cash songs while your dad played the guitar. I will miss you forever. I will never forget all our great times together over the years, it will always be Glen, Garth, Rick and Gavin friends forever. love Garth - Posted by: Garth Bancoft (Child hood friend ) on: Nov 17, 2018

  • I was stunned to learn today that Glenn passed away. Glenn and I grew up together on McMeans Bay. We were best friends growing up, played sports together, hung out and were inseparable when we were kids. As we grew older and had families we grew apart but there was always a connection when ever we saw each other. I last saw Glen this past summer when he stopped by to show me his Cougar that he finally finished restoring. I want to pass on my condolences to Margret, Laurie, Linda and Patrick, Robin, Shawnee and Cheyenne and the rest of the family. My thoughts and Prayers are with you. I am going to miss you old friend. Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Richard Pearson (Friend) on: Nov 17, 2018

  • One of my favorite guys to hang out with at the rink while we were watching our daughters play hockey together. Always had a positive outlook and was a fun guy to be around. Loved Life. A great Father, Husband, Son and Son-in-Law and friend. You're sure going to be missed. - Posted by: Doug Zajac (Friend) on: Nov 17, 2018

  • Although you're gone we will remember you forever - your personality and love of others and sports and especially your girls and family. Glenn you always treated us as family including my children in many firsts for them: first boat rides, first attempts to water ski, etc. We will miss you greatly. I hope you know we loved you and we are so thankful we knew you. We will miss you but we will remember the good times and support and love Robin and the girls through this. Gone not forgotten, God Bless. - Posted by: Shelley Costa (family friend) on: Nov 17, 2018

  • Glenn, you will be missed so very much. Every time we sit around a campfire, we'll think of you and all the good times we had when we were neighbours out at the creek. We will miss your crazy antics, your witty come backs, your booming laugh. We loved how you were so good to children - you were every child's favourite uncle and ringmaster of "Camp Playmore". We loved how good you were to us - over the 30 years of friendship we could always count on you to help out; you were always there. Robin, Shawnee, and Cheyenne: we are so terribly sorry for the tragic loss of your husband and father. He loved you so much; we enjoyed seeing how close a family you all were. You are forever in our prayers and we will stay at your side and surround you with love and compassion as your mourn Glenn's passing. - Posted by: Lisa and Mark Hunter (Family friends) on: Nov 17, 2018
