Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN REID MILLER It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Alan Reid Miller on November 13, 2018 at the age of 93. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Cindy (Andy) Blicq, Todd Miller and Chris Miller; grandson Graham Blicq; nieces and nephews, Brian (Jo-Ann) Tomchuk, Brent (Shirley) Tomchuk, Barbara (Darren) Borton, Adam Borton and Alexa Borton. He is predeceased by his parents, Alex and Florence (nee Reid), wife Roberta (nee Clark), brother Colin and sister Leona Tomchuk. Thanks to the staff of Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, and Donna Banting for the love and care they gave Dad over the last year. A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home at 669 Broadway in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. So sorry to hear of his passing. Al was a very dear friend of my father and mother (Roy and Ruth Brockest). We remember him as ‘mooner’, not quite sure where the nickname came from. Even my children (now in their 30’s) remember Al coming to Toronto to visit my parents and Al getting down on the floor to play with them.
