CECILE SARRASIN (nee COMTE) March 6, 1938 - November 21, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished wife, mother and grandmother, Cécile (nee Comte) Sarrasin, at the Steinbach Hospital, at the age of 80 years old. Born on the family farm in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Cécile attended Montcalm School and then graduated at the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Collegiate. She went on to attend Teachers' College and then she taught for several years before getting married on August 4, 1962 to Philippe Sarrasin. In 1976, she and her family moved to Lorette where she had resided ever since. Cécile loved being surrounded by her family. She enjoyed many hobbies like knitting, painting, reading, gardening and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed playing games with her family and would always be the quickest to count everyone else's points before they could. Cécile leaves to mourn her loving husband, Philippe; her children: Jean (Diana), Normand, Ronald (Donna), Gilles (Paulette), Jocelyne Kleinschmit and Elaine (Robert) Bosc; her grandchildren: Ryan (Kelly), Kevin (Laurenn), Ashley (Ben), Philippe (Kirsten), Eric (Lisa), David (Sandra), Justin (Sylvie), Daniel (Courtney), Jesse and Nicholas; and her great-grandchildren: Liam and Khaleesi. Cécile is survived by her siblings: Gabriel, Thérèse, Henri (Marie-Anne), Auguste (Frances), Agnes (Ed), Rose-Marie (Bruce) and Louis (Donna); her sister-in-law Emelie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by her parents, Jean-Baptiste and Germaine (Labossiere); her brothers: Marcel, Charles and Hubert; her sister Andrée; her sisters-in-law: Albina and Gertrude; and brother-in-law Lucien Bilodeau. A celebration of Cecile's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A private family interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. • To all of you, I’m so sorry to hear of “Mom”’s passing. She was so loving and always ready to welcome another stray at her supper table. I’ll never forget nights of playing Nerds. She was so lovingly inquisitive on how you were and what you’d been up to since the last time she’d seen you. I will cherish the memories I have of her, her great smile and infectious laugh. Rest In Peace Cecile, until we meet again! xoxo - Posted by: Jackie Keller (Friend) on: Nov 27, 2018
