LIONEL JOSEPH (LARRY) LANDRY (LARRY)
Born: Jan 26, 1930
Date of Passing: Nov 25, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIONEL JOSEPH (LARRY) LANDRY January 26, 1930 - November 25, 2018 Peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018, Larry passed away from his courageous battle with cancer. He is reunited with his parents, Marie Turcotte and Adelard Landry, and his brother Lucien "Ken". He will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Irene; his children, Glenn (Suzanne), Judi (Stewart) and Cathy; grandchildren, Randi (Kris), Rene and Pierre, along with many nieces and nephews. Lionel was born in St. Jean, Manitoba. His career as a crane operator led him to many remote locations in northern Canada, including the Dew Line, and eventually retiring from C.N. in 1993. Larry had the most enduring sense of humour, and was well liked by all who knew him. His knowledge of history and world issues was incredible, and always made for interesting conversations. He had an amazing memory, and his knack of knowledge just by talking to someone he was able to know if he knew you, or knew your family, and was even able to figure out if he was related to you, and how. His stories from his solo trip to Europe in 1998 was always entertaining. Above all, he loved his family. He will be deeply missed, and forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank all the staff at Riverview 3East, and Grace Hospice for giving Dad the best care possible. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will take place. E.J.COUTU & CO FUNERAL DIRECTORS 204-253-5086 www.ejcoutu.ca
