Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE LEMOINE (née FENEZ) It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at the age of 96. Thérèse was predeceased by her husband Edmond and her sons, Emile and Rhéal. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Eliane (Bill), Eugene (Irène), Monique (Allan), Julien (Pierrette), Adélard, and Rosaire; her daughters-in-law, Béatrice and Hélène; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Alma Lagassé, Colette Huberdeau; and sisters-in-law, Léa, Marie-Thérèse and Dolores. Thérèse grew up on the farm along with eight brothers and four sisters. She married Edmond, who was also from Ste. Agathe, in 1943, and settled on the family farm where they raised six boys and two girls. She was suddenly widowed at age 42. Her strong faith helped her through the difficult times. She perfected her culinary skills while working at the local convent and at St. Paul's College until her retirement at age 65. She travelled to France and various places in the US and across Canada. She made many trips to Calgary and the Yukon to spend time with her daughters and families. Her hobbies included quilting, knitting, fishing, reading, ceramics and gardening. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were spoiled with her homemade baking. A favourite outing until her early 90s was driving her friends to the Club Amical in St. Adolphe for lunch and bingo on Thursdays. In recent years, she enjoyed doing puzzles and especially her Search-a-Word. Her favourite saying was, "Ne comptez pas les tours!" Special thanks to the caregivers at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne and the staff of the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach for their compassionate care. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Ste. Agathe Church, Ste. My deepest sympathies to the family. Mme. Lemoine was a beautiful classy, lady. I remember when she lost her husband and how courageous she was to then have to take care of her family on her own.
