WILLIAM (BILL) JOHN HILDEBRAND 1943 - 2018 Our brother Bill passed away on October 12, 2018 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by our parents, Anne and Peter Hildebrand and leaves to mourn his siblings, Edward (Betty), Elizabeth (Barry) Penner, Walter, Marilyn (Gerald) Campbell and Connie (Tom) Gratton, as well as his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and no funeral is planned, as per his wishes. Bill was employed at MTS for 29 years in the Production and Scheduling Department. He was a very quiet and reserved man. He enjoyed gardening, movies, wine, gadgets, puzzles, books, collecting and travelling, especially to San Francisco. Bill was a lifelong learner and after an early retirement, he continued his studies at the University of Manitoba where he achieved an Advanced Degree in Anthropology and a minor in Geological Sciences, and was most recently studying film and writing. He strove to live life on his own terms, and fought the good fight. The family wishes to thank all of the home care aides and WRHA nurses (especially Geoff) for their continued patience, care and support of our dear brother over these past six years.
