BETTY NEUFELD 1952 - 2018 Betty Neufeld, aged 66, of Winnipeg, MB passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home. Betty and her twin brother, Henry were born on July 10, 1952 in the Altona Hospital to mother, Maria (nee Bergen) and Henry Neufeld. She grew up and went to school in Grimsby, MB and attended high school in Altona, MB for one year before she entered the workforce. Her first job was working in the garment industry. She started off working in Winkler, MB and then eventually ended up moving to Winnipeg, MB to advance here career in the industry. She worked in the garment industry for over 20 years and decided in her late 30s that a career change was in order. She trained to become a hairstylist and enjoyed working as a stylist for 24 years. She loved gardening, travelling and her car, a Ford Mustang. Her favourite travel destination was Hawaii and enjoyed countless trips to this paradise. Betty is survived by her niece Sylvia Georgison (David and Davia Georgison), who lives in Stony Mountain, MB. She is also survived by her sister Mary Ann (John) Hiebert, Winkler, MB; brothers, Henry (Irene) Neufeld, Winkler, MB, Cody (Sharon) Neufeld, Morris, MB, Dave (Cindy) Neufeld), Port Coquitlam, BC; and nephews, Kevin (Pamela), Kerwin (Kimberly), Derek (Tracy) and Dwight (Marla); and nieces, Denita (Abe), Zabrina (Todd) and Connie (Will) and numerous grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Henry Neufeld, mother Maria (nee Bergen) Neufeld, and sister Margaret (nee Neufeld) Friesen. Cremation has taken place. Memorial reception will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, 1050 Thornhill St. in Morden, MB. Ash interment will take place at a later date.
