Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • I too was a student of Mr. Wright's back at Sargent Park in around 1980-83. He was the kindest teacher who led though respect, not intimidation. Teachers are born I believe, not made, and he was a natural. May peace be with you. - Posted by: Boyd (Former student) on: Dec 27, 2018

  • About 18 years ago, Mr. Wright was my home room teacher and social studies teacher. I think of Mr. Wright and I can only remember seeing his smile. Even if he was upset he had such a mild and humble attitude. He was so nice that you just didn't want to upset him. Definitely one of the nicest teachers I had and definitely one the good ones. • Mr. Wright was a student teacher while I attended Cecil Rhodes Jr. High School. I remember his great demenour with the student body. He was a natural fit because he too was a Westonite. I had the good fortune to meet him again when I was a substitute teacher. I feel very fortunate to have known him as someone who also grew up in the Weston neighbourhood in Winnipeg, as a teacher, and eventually at one time a colleague in the same vocation as a teacher. RIP, Mr. Wright. - Posted by: Donald Burroughs (Student When Mr.Wright was a Student Teacher ) on: Dec 09, 2018

  • As a teacher, I taught with Tim at Cecil Rhodes and Sargent Park Schools. He was one of the most decent persons that I have ever met. Along with his daughter, Caitlyn, we enjoyed a number of years golfing and he and I helped escort a number student tours to Eastern and Western Canada. I am much saddened by his Passing. - Posted by: Jim Easton (friend) on: Dec 09, 2018
