ERWIN WITTMAIER 1932 2018 Peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2018 with family by his side, our Dad, Erwin passed away at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home. Erwin is survived by his wife Clara of 54 years; children, Reinhart (Sylvia), Margaret (Kurt) Koberstein, Edie (John) Prefontaine, (Rose) Krahnke, Arlene (Randy) Roller, and Lorri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Adina Mielke, Rubin (Theresa) Wittmaier, and Martha (Reinhardt) Schwarz; sisters-in-law, Olga Singbeil and Alma Mueller; and many nieces and nephews. Erwin was predeceased by son Harold Krahnke (2011) and granddaughter Deanne Krahnke (2004). Erwin was born in Solomka, Wolynia, Poland on April 26, 1932 immigrating to Canada in 1952. He worked hard for many years as a tradesman at Advance Acoustics and Reimar Interiors to support his growing family. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., viewing prior to the service at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to express how grateful and thankful we are for the loving care provided to our Dad by Chaplain Dave Holland and the entire staff of Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home.
