Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLENN RALPH EISBRENNER April 14, 1942 - December 8, 2018 Peacefully, at the age of 76, Glenn Ralph EisBrenner departed this world too swiftly and far too soon for the great many family and friends who so dearly loved him. Glenn was the heart and soul of his family, and he will be with us always. Glenn was born in Winnipeg during the Second World War on April 14, 1942, and grew up on the family farm in Emerson, Manitoba with his mother, grandmother and uncles while his father served overseas. Raised by a family that prized education and self-sufficiency in equal measure, Glenn was a clever, extremely curious and mischievous child, whose explorations and various 'experiments' led to a number of slim escapes during his youth. This boundless curiosity led him down many varied paths in life. As a young man, Glenn lived in residence at the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Science before continuing on to study law. He was called to the Bar of Manitoba in June 1972, and practiced law for many years in both Winnipeg and Calgary before joining Winnipeg Hydro in 1983 and subsequently Manitoba Hydro where he worked until his retirement in 2012. Throughout his life, Glenn was defined by his selfless love of others, and his willingness to drop everything to help anyone in need. He had a strong sense of integrity and social justice, and would go to any lengths necessary to help right a wrong. He sought solutions in nature and historical tradition to help ease the pain and suffering of others when conventional medicine had nothing to offer. He saw value and use in things that others did not, and would find creative ways to give them new life. Glenn inspired, encouraged and helped others to achieve their greatest potential. And most of all, he had a mischievous sense of humour that brought laughter and levity even in the most difficult of times. Glenn will be remembered and deeply missed by his beloved wife Judy (née Lapointe), with whom he shared 53 laughter-filled years; his children, Tracie (Leigh), Lisa, Jason (Carrie), Erin (Devin); grandchildren, Maximilian, Arlo, Dalton (a.k.a. Brody), Bailey, Mikhaila, Alex, Casey, Quinn and Reaghan; and honorary family member Christian Sweryda. Glenn is survived by his much loved brother Douglas (Cathy) and sister Cheryl (Bob); mother-in-law Marceline Lapointe; sisters-in-law, Maureen (Alan) and Carol (Bob); brother-in-law Martin (Kelly); nieces and nephews, Tyson, Adam, Luke, Trevor, David, Chantal, Charisse, Cory, Asheley, Christopher, Melanie, Danielle, Dustin; and many extended family members and friends. Glenn leaves us to rejoin his dear grandmother Wilhelmine Lembke; uncles, Wallace and Leslie Lembke; his father Ralph EisBrenner, and his adored mother, Agnes Wilhelmina EisBrenner (née Lembke), who he told us would light a lamp and lead him up the stairs when it was time to rest. Rest in peace, beloved grandson, son, husband, brother, father, grandfather (papa). You are so loved. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 14 at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg. A celebration of his life will immediately follow at Canad Inns Fort Garry, 1824 Pembina Highway. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Canada.

Bill and I, with our son Chris, are shocked and devastated about Glenn's passing. He was and will always be a most special friend and loved member of our family. We are forever indebted to Glenn for his love and caring of Chris. With Glenn's encouragement Chris applied for and was accepted into law school. Glenn was a father, friend, mentor and tireless listener for Chris. We will be forever grateful for the blessing of having Glenn in our lives. Our love goes out to the Eisbrenner family. You are in our hearts. - Posted by: Cyndy and Bill Sweryda (Friends) on: Dec 12, 2018

There are so many memories of Glenn being selfless, mischievous, his laughter and his love for all. We will never forget his speech at our wedding that brought everyone to tears with laughter. My deepest condolences Judy and too all the family! I have very fond memories of when you and Glenn started dating, the many happy times at the dinner table at Nana Lapointe’s and Glenn’s gleam in his eyes when he was being funny, too the day you became engaged! I also remember what a great dancer Glenn was, especially when he waltzed your feet off at your wedding, the two of you looked like you where floating on the dance floor, Glenn was so in love with you Judy and that never changed! My prayers are with you and I will see you on Friday! Love, Nancy - Posted by: Nancy Dunn (Close friend (Lapointe side, always considered like another daughter)) on: Dec 12, 2018
