LORNA EMILY WEBB (née HAWES) Mrs. Lorna E. Webb, of Victoria, BC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 27, 2018, at the age of 86. She was born to parents, Geneva and William Hawes on June 19, 1932 in Miniota, Manitoba. She was the eldest of four children. Lorna enjoyed a professional career in Business Administration in Winnipeg Manitoba, where she met her husband William Webb. They were married on June 11, 1982 at Pine Falls, MB. After four years of joyful married life, William passed away on August 20, 1986. Lorna retired to Victoria, BC where she was actively involved as the social coordinator for many organizations, including the Victoria Newcomers Club. Lorna will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humour, quick wit and her passion for reading! She was a loyal friend to many and always made time to connect with those that were near and dear to her heart. Lorna is survived by her sister Vera Fitz-Gerald (nee Hawes), along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Marie (Helen) Twerdochlib (nee Hawes), and her brother Ronald Kenneth Hawes. There will be a private family celebration of Lorna's life. As per Lorna's request, the family declines flowers or donations. If you wish, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of Lorna.
