STELLA GARLINSKI On December 2, 2018 Stella Margaret Garlinski (nee Korney), aged 92, passed away peacefully at the Dauphin General Hospital. Stella was born in Dauphin, MB on January 6, 1926 to Harry and Sophie Korney. Stella was the fifth of ten siblings. Stella married Ignace Garlinski and enjoyed 66 years of marriage. They were blessed with four children, Lorraine Garlinski, Bonnie Carmichael (Blenis - deceased), Gary Garlinski and Donald (Colette) Garlinski. There are eight grandchildren, Kristin (Brian), Paul (Taryn), Shauna (Ken), Jennifer, Sara, Kerri-Lynne, Shannon, Chantal (Duncan); seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas, William, Savannah, Maxine, Alexandra, Maximillion and Oskar. Stella is survived by sisters, Caroline Barton, Alice Boychuk, Ruth Komarnicki; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Garlinski, Wilma Korney and Olga Saramaga. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Ignace; siblings, Marie, Anne, Helen, Mike, Peter and Frank. A detailed eulogy describing Stella's life, her interests, talents and many wonderful qualities was delivered by her granddaughter Sara Carmichael prior to the funeral mass. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Penrose along with various health care providers for the excellent care and concern provided for Stella. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Parkland Crisis Centre & Women's Shelter, P.O. Box 651, Dauphin, MB R7N 2V4. Visitation was offered on December 6, 2018 at Sneath Strilchuk Family Care Centre. Funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church in Dauphin, with Father John Legitimas officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB. Pallbearers were Gary Garlinski, Donald Garlinski, Colette Garlinski, Paul Urbanoski, Sara Carmichael and Ken Bond.
