JACQUELINE (JACKIE) MCIVOR (nee COMBOT) Peacefully at her home on Friday, December 14, 2018, surrounded by her husband and children, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful and loving mother, mémé (grandma) and wife after a long journey with cancer. Jackie will be deeply missed by all those who were touched by her bright light. The world lost an elegant woman who has inspired so many with her beautiful smile, accepting ways and infectious laugh. Left to celebrate her amazing life is her loving husband of over 40 years, Glenn; her three wonderful children, Kale (Blake), Drew (Paige) and Brooke (Dominik); three beautiful grandchildren, Rue, Prym and Rhett; her four sisters, brother, in-laws and many close friends. Jackie was predeceased by her mother Rita Combot, father John Combot, mother-in-law Florence McIvor, father-in-law Elwood McIvor, brother Robert Combot and brothers-in-law, Robert McIvor and Leonard Sicinski. A celebration of Jackie's life will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Transcona United Church, 209 Yale Ave. West with a reception to follow. A private family interment will be held later that day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. We are so very sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. When we first moved to Lakeside Meadows nearly 35 years ago, we were welcomed by Glen and Jackie as they were taking their bulldog for a walk. They were such friendly neighbours and we enjoyed their company. We also attended pre-natal classes at the same time, as our sons are close in age. Even though, the McIvor family moved from the area, we will always have fond memories of them and how Jackie's warm, friendly smile will always be remembered. We extend our deepest sympathy to all the family. - Posted by: Christie and Ron Kawaler ((Friends)) on: Dec 19, 2018

Glen, Kale, Drew, Brooke and families, We were so saddened by the news. Jackie and I reunited in Cancer Care five years ago. We started our journey together. She was always so strong and encouraging, making everyone around her laugh and see such a positive outlook on what was not always so positive. Only two weeks ago we had connected to see how each other were doing. She was still encouraging, telling me I was on her prayer list. She was such a bright light! Although your lives will never be the same, I pray you can all find some peace knowing she is no longer in pain. I am thankful for reconnecting and will always remember her positive spirit. Take care of each other and may this time only draw you closer as family. Love Kim and Kevin - Posted by: Kevin and Kim Hampton (friends) on: Dec 18, 2018

Every once in a while a person comes into your life that you instantly adore. Jackie’s that person. From the moment you met her you knew she was someone special. We of course knew her through golf, specifically as a member of the Ladies League at the Falcon Lake Golf Course. There is no doubt that Jackie was a bright light out of our bunch. Rain or shine she always showed up for golf with a beaming smile—and while she was a pretty good golfer, she never took the game so seriously that everyone, at every level, wanted to partner with her. Last summer our special girl Jackie insisted that our 25th Annual Ladies Classic Cancer Fundraiser focus support on Colon Cancer initiatives. She selflessly volunteered herself to promote the event subsequently bringing in thousands of extra dollars from her own circle of friends and family. We will never forget Jackie bravely standing before 200 of us at the end of the tournament that day sharing her heart-breaking struggle with cancer. Jackie you truly are an inspiration to us all. Every single member of the Falcon Lake Golf Ladies League is going to miss your positive energy, your kind words of encouragement on the course and especially we’re going to miss your stories and the pride you felt for each and every one of your children and grandchildren. Our condolences to you Glen and to your entire family during this most difficult time. Jackie’s Team Mates of the Falcon Lake Golf Ladies League.
