Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • For the many years of service to our family while we owned the Ashern Hotel. I remember Willie ring the BELL and asking for a sandwich, hamburger, fries, and some days we were really busy. God grant him peace. In His Service, I belong Rev. Barrett Scheske - Posted by: Rev. Barrett Scheske (Friend) on: Dec 27, 2018

  • I remember Willie from some 40+ years ago. I remember he was injured fighting a fire in Camper with my dad, and hurting his knee/leg. Was always a very nice gent. My condolences to your family. - Posted by: Robin Drylick (Father's Friend (Harry)) on: Dec 22, 2018

  • My friend Willie, I knew Willie as far back as I can remember. He was there in the Ashern hotel after I turned the age when I could get in. His smile and sense of humour kept us smiling too. His watchful eye forever on his customers, keeping us all under control and guided by his wisdom. He was there when I was in Ashern, stopping into Ashern Electric to say hello or checking for Alan when needed, he knew a lot of my parent’s family and it will be a world that will have fewer smiles and less laughter in it now that he has gone. My most sincere sympathy to his family, Ella my thoughts are with you and the family. - Posted by: Karen McMillan (nee Wareing) (Friend) on: Dec 22, 2018
