LORRAINE ANNE CHESNEY (nee BLYTHE) 1933 - 2018 Anne Chesney of Tabor Home in Morden, Manitoba passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Brandon on August 24, 1933. She lived in Brandon, Winnipeg and retired to Morden. Anne was predeceased by her husband. Ernie in 2002, parents, George and Mary Blythe, and sisters, Jeanette Kille, Marie Franklin and Betty Carnahan. She will be greatly missed by her children, Vonnie (Lloyd) Hemminger, Val Stephens, Kevin (Lynn) and Kelly (Sarah Torrible), her grandchildren, Robyn (Sarah Jesberger) Hemminger, Karla (JP) Vigier, Amber Hemminger, Amanda (Brent) Soloway, Dan and Scott Stephens, Rhys (Laura) Chesney and Megan, Owen and Leah Chesney, her great-grandchildren, Maddie and Olivia Vigier, Eve and Alice Hemminger, and Logan Soloway. Anne found her calling when she went into teaching, first in kindergarten and later as a school librarian. She retired from Beaumont School in Charleswood in 1987. Passing on a love of books and reading was very important to her. She was always reading to her grandchildren and passed that love on to them. Anne enjoyed watching hockey, curling and baseball, reading the daily newspaper and puzzling. She loved cardinals and therefore the St. Louis Cardinals. Her cooking and baking skills were always on display at family get-togethers. Everyone loved her cream puffs and her turkey dinners. Her grandchildren were her joy. A family gathering will be held at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Morden.
