Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryORLA CAMP June 25, 1925 - December 27, 2018 Orla passed away peacefully on December 27, 2018 at the age of 93. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Gordon (Andrea), Beverley (George) and Brian (Debbie), grandchildren, Nelson (Kristine), Patrick, Geoffrey, Hayley (Scott), Andrew, Lindsay (Shaun), Brock, Ryan and Tyler as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Orla was predeceased by her husband Charles, brother Robert and sister Joyce (Don). Orla was born in Winnipeg to parents, Richard and Jean Owen. She was raised in the North End and attended Machray and St. Johns High School. Throughout the years Orla worked at Canadian Press, Eaton's and CP Telecommunications, where she met Charlie whom she wed in 1949. East Kildonan was home for many years and she enjoyed the many activities at the East Kildonan YMCA and Melrose Community Club. Orla was often seen volunteering in the canteen or cheering from the sidelines. Orla spent many summers with her family at Grand Beach and later Sandy Hook and took many rail trips out to BC to visit her brother Robert (Uncle Bob). After many years Orla moved on to Valhalla and made many new friendships. Orla took many winter vacations with her lifelong friends, Doreen and Thelma travelling to Hawaii, Florida and Phoenix. Orla also attended many cultural events with her longtime friend Emily. Orla and Emily looked forward to Saturdays, getting their hair done and taking in lunch. Family was very important to Orla. She participated in many family celebrations and was a regular for Sunday dinners. She made sure everyone always received a card on their birthday or anniversary. Orla will be remembered for her kindness and warm heart. At Orla's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life will take place with family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the CNIB, P.O. Box 8000 STN Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Camp's passing. I remember her well as we were neighbors in E.K. for many years. I was friends with Gordon, Beverly and Brian and their mom was a great lady that was always very kind to me. GORDON, BEVERLY and BRIAN please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your mom.
