ROSALINDA LORIA ALMAZAN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Rosalinda Loria Almazan, who left us peacefully on January 3, 2019 at the age of 73. She is predeceased by her parents, Maria B. Loria and Romulo Loria, and her siblings, Victoriano B. Loria, Natividad B. Loria and Alex B. Loria. Also her in-laws, Marcelino and Conchita Almazan. Rosalinda is survived by her husband Joselito I. Almazan and her only son Clifford (Olivia) Almazan and her six grandchildren, Nicole, Noah, Natasha, Naomi, Nikita and Nixon. She is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Enriqueta C. Loria and her children, Danny, Ferdinand and Jennifer, as well as Liza (Romy) Alindayu and her son Karl. Also surviving are her two sisters, Adoracion Loria and Purificacion Loria. Rosalinda was born in San Carlos, Pangasinan, Philippines on March 27, 1945. She immigrated to Canada in the mid 1970s to start her new life alongside her brother and his family. Joselito, her husband, came not long after and started their journey raising Clifford along with her in-laws. Rosalinda worked for many years at Tan Jay Fashions until her retirement. During her free time, she would take care of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending quality time with them. She will forever be remembered as hard working, faithful and loving towards everyone around her especially her family. She will be greatly missed. Lamay/viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., January 12, 2019, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St. with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Reverend Bo Wardzinski officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for taking care of Mom the last few years and many thanks to the entire staff at the Health Sciences Centre Adult Emergency Department for their care and support given to Rosalinda and her family during their time and need.
