BOB IRWIN 1933 - 2019 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert William Irwin announce his peaceful passing on January 5, 2019 at the age of 85. Dad was predeceased by his wife, Doreen in 1997. Left to mourn are sons, Bob (Vladimira), Bill (Karen), Tim, Michael, Dan (Del) and daughter Lori-Ann; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dad was a gruff man, but beneath that gruff exterior was a man that loved his family and had great compassion for others, especially animals. As per Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A private family internment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Morris Hospital for their compassion and excellent care of Dad. Morris Funeral Home in care of arrangements. www.morrisfuneralhome.ca

So very sorry to hear that Bob Sr. had passed on. A gruff man indeed but that was overshadowed by his love for his family and how proud he always was of his kids. I can recall, in particular, on a few occasions the trouble that Tim and I would get into when we were mere youngsters and then knowing that we would be facing Mr. Irwin afterwards...YIKES! I look back at those times now as such fond memories. I offer my condolences to Bob, Bill, Tim, Mike, Dan & Lori-Ann and their partners & children. Our condolences to all of the Irwin family. We had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Irwin, shared a few cold ones, and even learned how to swing a golf club from him. If that didn’t test his patience then I believed that nothing could. I always felt welcome in their home and enjoyed the relationship we had. We are so sorry to hear of his passing and had hoped to meet again at some later date. It appears that will have to wait.
