MILDRED MAY KOHLER (nee RITCHIE) September 24, 1927 January 1, 2019 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Mildred May Kohler (nee Ritchie), wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Mary and James, her husband Clare, son Bruce, and her siblings, Gordon, Clifford, and Nancy. Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Diana (Ken), granddaughters, Rhonda (Brad), Christy and Shari and great granddaughters, Samantha and Kyla, as well as many other beloved friends and family. Mildred lived a full and colourful life having enjoyed working in the fashion industry until she was 72 years old. Her time was filled with her love for her family and her dog Cookie, and a multitude of interests including baseball, bowling, swimming, knitting, baking, playing cards, and the occasional foray to the casino. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at CancerCare Manitoba, Springfield Homecare and particularly Beausejour Hospital for their care and support throughout this difficult time. At Mildred's request she will be cremated and interred with her husband and son. Mildred wished for a quiet service attended only by immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or the Beausejour Hospital via the Brokenhead River Community Foundation.
